Multilingual flashcard: Fairytale

Multilingual flashcard 153 – fairytale in 10 languages.

I love reading alternative versions of fairytales around the worlds and drawing out similarities and differences.

I have also used lots of fairytales in my language learning as the familiar story can help me to access difficult vocabulary (though for those of you using fairytales to learn European languages, be careful – in French and Italian fairytales are written in the past historic tense which you are unlikely to have encountered at an early stage of learning the languages)
