Multilingual flashcard: Jellyfish

Jellyfish in 10 languages – useful to understand shouted warnings at the beach (that’s how I learnt it in Italian!) or marvel at their beauty in an aquarium (that’s how I learnt it in Japanese!)

multilingual flashcards jellyfish

Did you know that jellyfish have been around for between 500 and 700 million years, longer than the dinosaurs? Their size can be anything between less than a millimetre and around 2 metres for the body with tentacles than can be as long as 35-40 metres! A group of jellyfish is called a smack, with an abnormally large group being referred to as a bloom.

See Jellywatch for more details about jellyfish.
