Did you know that barn owls are the most widely distributed bird and one of the most widely distributed birds? They are found almost everywhere in the world apart from the poles and deserts.
Earlier this year, our school took the entire Year Group (Year 3 = 7-8 year olds) camping. On the night we stayed overnight we took the children out for a ‘midnight’ (read as soon as it got dark!) walk through the woods to listen and spot wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a badger, some frogs, lots of bats and a barn owl!
