Bookworms in London probably already know this – but for those who don’t, the Primark on Oxford Street now has a special section of the shop decorated and dedicated to Harry Potter!

I had to go to see…and did, of course, end up buying some Harry Potter merchandise!
If anyone knows where I could get some potion bottle fairy lights, please point me in the right direction – every Primark I have been in has sold out!

If you are a Gryffindor or a Slytherin, you are in luck – there is tonnes of stuff for you! Even Hufflepuff is pretty well-represented.
Ravenclaw, on the other hand, was sorely lacking. I’m not sure if that is because of lack of demand, or because all of the clever Ravenclaws have already swooped in and bought everything!
Apologies for the quality of the photos – really needed to put my flash on as it was a bit dim inside, but it is a very bright flash with lots of people around so felt a bit too self-conscious!
If you are ever in London and are a Harry Poter fan, it is definitely worth a visit, particularly as so many of the prices are really quite cheap, especially when compared to some of the prices you might pay in the studios. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean you can buy everything without racking up an impressive bill!
Honestly, I would have bought more if some of what I had been hoping to get had been in stock but I ended up getting a Hogwarts satchel (£12) and ‘I’d rather be at Hogwarts’ pyjamas (£12). I particularly like the satchel because it looks just like an ordinary schoolbag or handbag, until you look closely at the Hogwarts crest. This means I can use it most days, give a gentle nod to some much-loved books and connect with other Potterheads when they spot it!
In previous trips to other Primarks I had bought the cauldron mug (£5), which I love! I also got the door hanger saying ‘Muggleworthy’ , the street signs saying locations in the books, Quidditch tracksuit bottoms, a T-shirt saying ‘I solemnly swear I am up to no good’ and some socks showing the four different houses.
Someday I will have to get all my Harry Potter merchandise in one place to photograph it…though it might be scary how much there is!
See more photos of the Harry Potter section in Oxford Street Primark here on The Sun website.
Have you visited the Harry Potter section in any Primark shop?
Would you like to go?
Which geeky merchandise did you manage to get or would you like to get?
Better not, might buy loads of stuff.

I did buy a fair bit – would have bought more if they had had more Ravenclaw stuff! It is dangerous…

Oh wow. Did not know they did that. Fantastic idea… great way to get me to spend my money 😄

Between books and bookish merchandise I’m surprised either of us has any money left!

That is so cool that they have a special section! I especially like the items that are more subtle.

Yes, me too! That’s why I really like the satchel – subtle enough that I could use it every day, but any fans would notice!

Yup exactly perfect!! We don’t have Primark but I wonder if anyone else carries HP gear??

There are a few places online which stock HP merchandise, but I think Primark’s great because the prices are so decent too!

Yes I have looked at some places online, but cost and shipping have kept me from purchasing:(

Where are you shipping to? Etsy is quite good for independent artists, Red bubble looks incredible but costs loads to ship to the U.K. (postage and customs)!

Hmm I’ll have to check that out. I’m shipping to Canada.

The Ravenclaw selection at my nearest Primark was non existent. Very disappointing, especially as I’d wanted a little pick me up after my hospital visit just before it 😔. I mainly wanted the Marauders t shirt though, which was also out of stock. Looking forward to seeing your haul!

Hope you managed to get something in the end! I have found the Ravenclaw section to be disappointing in every primark I have been to – don’t know if it’s a less popular house or the most popular and that’s why everything is gone! Hope you find the t-shirt sometime!

Ahhh, visited this before and it was wonderful. But you’re absolutely right, not enough choice for Ravenclaws!

They did? Awesome !! I’m a fellow Ravenclaw, and in need of some house colours to represent! 😀

Last time I was in I only managed to get a keyring. Yesterday I got a tote bag, candle, t-shirt, nightshirt, pencil case, notebook and decorative plaque!
