Here are some fun phrases about Valentine’s Day in Korean, and some phrases that textbooks won’t teach you for expressing your feelings in Korean!

On Valentine’s Day in Japan, girls give chocolate to boys – this could be giri-choco (they give it to their boss, etc), tomo-choco (to friends) or honmei-choco (to the person they like or love). One month later, on White Day, boys (should!) reciprocate.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated in a variety of ways around the world.
