Happy Valentine’s Day!
Regardless of how you’re celebrating (or if you’re celebrating at all!), here is how to say the name of today’s festival in 10 languages.
On Valentine’s Day in Japan, girls give chocolate to boys – this could be giri-choco (they give it to their boss, etc), tomo-choco (to friends) or honmei-choco (to the person they like or love). One month later, on White Day, boys (should!) reciprocate.
Valentine’s Day is celebrated in a variety of ways around the world.
How do you celebrate it in your country?
Will you be celebrating it at all?
