Off to Wales!

Your regularly-scheduled post (which I had planned to be a review of YA Shot, whoops) has been postponed because I’m going away for the weekend.

In a few weeks my school will be taking the Year 6s to climb Mount Snowdon – yay!

Some of the teacher have to go to check the route, make arrangements etc…so a whole group of us decided to make a trip of it!

After school today we’re all piling into the minibus and heading to Snowdonia. It is my first time going to Wales and the weather forecast looks good so I am really excited.

The plan is to climb Snowdon on Saturday and visit an eco-theme park on the Sunday, before heading back home to finish off planning and get some sleep before school on Monday.

Apparently, Mount Snowdon is the busiest mountain in the U.K. so I imagine that there might be quite a lot of people there if this lovely weather lasts. A new country for me so I can’t wait!

Have you been to Snowdonia before?

Does climbing a mountain sound like a fun way to spend you weekend?

What do you like to do to relax?

Thanks for reading and hope that everyone has a lovely weekend!

Just because I’m away, doesn’t mean that my blog stops – book review, author interview, #SixforSunday and Earth Day all to come!

    1. Thank you, it was brilliant – only thing that would have made it better would have been having more than a weekend there, lol, as the bus journey there was VERY LONG!

I haven’t been to Snowdonia but I did do a brief driving tour through parts of Wales some years ago. I just remember loving the rolling countryside. And there was a rather treacherous pony ride down a hillside 😄

    1. The pony ride sounds exciting! Snowdonia was beautiful, especially with the sunny weather. Although, I have been warned not to expect sunshine when I’m next back there! Really enjoyed it so hoping to visit again sometime. We climbed Moel Siabod which was varied and had gorgeous scenery…definitely want to see more of those rolling hills!

      1. Sounds beautiful and very enjoyable. I hope you do get to go back soon.
My pony ride was certainly exciting… judging by the Hail Marys I was saying hoping my pony and I wouldn’t tumble down the hill! 😄
