Welcome back to another week of #SixforSunday, created by Steph from A Little But a Lot.
The theme for this week is favourite snacks to eat whilst reading.
For me, it’s got to be snacks that you can easily eat with one hand while the other hand can turn pages. I never touch the book with a hard that has touched snacks and I even keep tissues and wipes nearby to make sure that the books don’t get damaged!
(Admit it, you’re precious about your books too, right?)

Favourite books of 2018 so far
I am an awful grazer, meaning I am pretty much constantly snacking throughout the day. That means that I have a large selection of favourite snacks and it was quite tricky to narrow it down to only six…
Crisps
Much more than chocolate, these are my favourite snack. I particularly like tortilla chips wither with dip or without!
Apple slices
I am weird in that I never eat apples without cutting them up first. Somehow, they taste better like this…
I also love eating chunks of mango or pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, grapes and blueberries.
Carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, etc and hummus
This list is looking slightly healthier than I had expected. Generally, I think my snacking is quite unhealthy, but doing this post has made me realise that I actually eat a lot of good stuff too!
Bran flakes, raisins and banana chips
I love crisps but I know they’re not great for you so I often snack on bran flakes, raisins and bananas instead of crisps or popcorn. (I’m now slightly worried by revealing all my eccentricities to the internet…)
Dark chocolate digestive biscuits
This is a very specific snack I like. I don’t like milk chocolate or most other biscuits with chocolate on them – but these are amazing!
Pretzels or salted nuts
These are just so satisfying to crunch! If I had to choose, I would always go for savoury snacks over sweet.
After writing this post, I’m now getting hungry…
What are your favourite snacks to eat whilst reading?

While you’re here, why not read my book review of Gilded Cage, Argyle Fox or The Cruel Prince?

Thanks for reading!
I always eat apples cut up as well, and without skin! They taste SO much nicer (though my mum moans as she hates doing it/apparently the skin has the main nutritional benefits?). I think your post is def the healthiest one I’ve seen 😊
I like chocolate, crisps and ice cream to read with best I think 💜

I think it depends on the apples as I usually eat the skin, but some are quite tough so better without. I have heard that most of the nutrients are just under the skin, but only if the skin is a very different colour to the inside – for example, peeling carrots makes no real difference to their nutrients because they;re the same (ish) colour! People will probably think I’m weird but I’m not a fan of ice cream – will have it on a cone at the beach but pretty much never eat it at home…
Crisps are definitely the best! NOM NOM!

They are the best, right? So glad that I’m finding other people who like them too – everyone around me seems to like the milk chocolate ones!

Crisps are my GO TO snack. I am also CHUFFED I found another grazer. I am terrible. I’d much rather graze all day than eat meals…
Thank you for joining in! See you next week for #SixforSunday! S x

Grazing is the way to go! I came prepared with LOADS of snacks for YAShot and could happily just nibble all day 🙂

Agreed on the slicing of the apples. They are just so tasty that way. I like pretzels, cheeze-its, or cheese and crackers with grape juice while I read.

Ooh, cheese and crackers are good too. Though dangerous in my household as my boyfriend would steal them all! I’m glad that I’m not the only one who thinks that apples taste better when sliced 🙂

agreed on the apple front! your list is so healthy; I feel quite bad about how mine was pure sugar haha!

I actually surprised myself with how healthy the list is…though I do also eat entire packets of haribo and tend to eat far too many crisps (loads of salt) so not sure how healthy it actually works out being…

Dark chocolate biscuits are the best. I keep mine in the fridge and have them with a glass of milk.

I keep mine in the fridge too – they’re just not as good when they’re warm, right? I usually have them with a mug of green tea but milk sounds lovely too!

I thought I was the only one 😂 they’re are so much better kept in the fridge. I will have to try them with green tea sounds like a good combination.

You just made me hungry!! I cut my apples up and sprinkle cinnamon on them- so good and disguised them going brown:)

Ooh, have never tried that but I love cinnamon so it is worth a try. How much cinnamon would you recommend? (i.e. completely covering them or just a teeny but?)

just a sprinkle as I find completely covering them ends up being too overpowering

Great, I’ll give it a go, thank you. Love cinnamon so imagine it will be yummy!
