Six for Sunday: Questions for Authors

Welcome back to another week of #SixforSunday,  created by Steph from A Little But a Lot.

The theme for this week  is questions that you have for authors. I always have a lot of questions for authors, namely, ‘How are you so awesome?’

Generally, my questions are specific to that author or their particular book so it is hard to come up with six general questions…

Check out some of my previous weeks of #SixforSunday here:

Books I would like to see as movies

Book characters I would like to stuck in a lift with

Animal companions in children’s books

Book characters I would like to be friends with

Book characters to avoid

Most exciting 2018 releases

Favourite books of 2018 so far

Favourite places to read

Favourite snacks to eat while reading

Favourite books that nobody has heard of

The theme this week is questions you have for authors – here are a few of mine!

  1. Where did your initial idea come from?

  2. Where do you like to write?

  3. How does your book change from first draft to finished product?

  4. What was your journey to becoming an author? Was it what you always wanted to be?

  5. Would you like to see your book made into a movie or TV series?

  6. If you could be a character in your book, who would you be, where would you live and what would you do?

  7. Bonus! What are your favourite books?

I love getting an insight into the person behind the books, the idea from germination to fruition and the journey towards becoming an author.

What did you think of my choices this week?

What questions do you often have for authors?

Let me know in the comments – I would love to find out if they’re similar or different to my questions!

While you’re here, why not read my reviews of Starfish, Shadow Weaver, The Way You Make Me Feel, The Circus or Shelter?

    1. It was really hard to think of generic questions! I always like to hear about a writer’s journey to becoming a full-time author 😀

  3. I love your questions, they are great things to find out from authors. I am going to an event for Victoria Aveyard’s new book release, and if you don’t mind I might use one of your questions to ask her please? 😊😀💜x

      1. Probably- If you could be a character in your book, who would you be, where would you live and what would you do? And where do your initial ideas come from? Thank you for letting me use those two questions! I know I feel very lucky, especially since authors like this never ever come to where I live! 😀😀
