Renegades Series Book 2 of 3

Written by Marissa Meyer

560 pages

Published by Feiwei and Friends

Publication date: 6th November 2018

Summary (from Goodreads):

The Renegades Trilogy continues, in this fiercely awaited second installment after the New York Times-bestselling Renegades by Marissa Meyer, author of the Lunar Chronicles.

Time is running out.
Together, they can save the world.
But they each other’s worst nightmare.

In Renegades, Nova and Adrian (aka Insomnia and Sketch) fought the battle of their lives against the Anarchist known as the Detonator. It was a short-lived victory.

The Anarchists still have a secret weapon, one that Nova believes will protect her. The Renegades also have a strategy for overpowering the Anarchists, but both Nova and Adrian understand that it could mean the end of Gatlon City – and the world – as they know it.

Why I can’t wait to read this:

  • I loved the Lunar Chronicles, but was hesitant about starting this series at first because it was very hyped, then there was a raft of reviews saying it didn’t live up to expectations. For that reason, I read the first book in this trilogy without expecting much and I loved it!
  • I fell in love with all of the characters in Renegades, both Renegades and Anarchists, so I want to find out what happens to them!
  • I love the X-men movies and comics – the first book in this trilogy gave me such strong X-men vibes that I wanted to go and rewatch the movies!
  • I loved all the unique powers and the world Meyer created – the first book raised so many questions that I need to read the next book to find out more.
  • Although the twist at the end of the first book felt a little contrived, it certainly opens up all sorts of possibilities for the next two books…

Has your interest been piqued by this book and the description?

    1. I had seen quite a few negative reviews so approached cautiously – but I really loved it! Guess I should have known I would love it as I love X-Men!
