Ascension Blog Tour: Victor Dixen chooses his favourite fanart!
Recently I was lucky enough to win a copy of the first book in the Phobos series, Ascension, from Readers First. Advertised as ‘Love Island in Space’ I was unsure how much I would enjoy it, but ended up loving it! See my full review here.
The second books ups the stakes even further, leaving me on tenterhooks for the third book in the series, out early next year. See my full review of Book 2: Distortion.
Today, I am lucky enough to be joined on the blog by the author of the Phobos series, Victor Dixen. He has chosen some of his favourite artwork inspired by the Phobos series. If you haven’t already read these great books, I hope that the artwork will make you want to read them even more!
(I’m a day late due to the vagaries of the internet and a power cut caused by someone with a digger cutting the power lines on my street – sorry!)
Over to Victor!
Phobos fan art
As a writer, I’m always very thankful when readers take the time to write a review, to tell how they felt about one of my books. These impressions are very important to me, because they allow me to understand how my story and characters were perceived (the other way to get this precious feedback is to actually meet readers during book festivals, like in the South Ken Kids Festival in London last week).
I believe that a book is reborn each time it is opened by a new person, and that there are as many versions of the same story as there are readers reading it.
This diversity of experiences shows through reviews, but also through fan art, when readers offer their own interpretations of the characters and situations.
Here is a small selection of fan art created around the Phobos world by talented readers (with their Instagram account details) – I take the opportunity to thank them all! 🙂

Thank you to Victor for sharing your favourite fanart (so far) for the blog tour and thank you to Hot Key Books for letting me be involved in promoting this brilliant series!
Thanks for reading!
