Mini Blogging Break

Mini Blogging Break

multilingual flashcards relax

You may or may not have noticed that I’ve not been around much this week.Life is busy and blogging is something that often has to fit around that busy life.

I think that bloggers often worry about taking blogging breaks because it can feel like you’re losing your audience, or you’re letting your followers down. I blog, first and foremost, because I want to and I enjoy it, at least most of the time! Nevertheless, I feel like I should at least let everyone know why I haven’t posted for the longest period since starting this blog a year and a half ago.

This week I have had a break due to some medical issues which finally culminated in surgery last Friday. I’m recovering now but had underestimated just how far outside of normal I would feel, despite what everyone said about giving yourself time to recover. It was my first time going under general anaesthetic and I had not realised just how complicated the recovery process can be.

We are also in the process of fixing up our new house to get it ready for us to actually move in! Very exciting, yet frustrating because I haven’t been able to do a lot of what I had hoped to do due to being unable to lift boxes, etc.

I am surrounded by people who have been supporting and helping me, which has been really lovely, but it will take a little while longer before I’m back to a normal schedule.

I have loads of exciting ideas for the blog, including some amazing books I have read, posts about the new house and also posts answering some of the questions I had about going into hospital which I wasn’t able to find on the internet but can now answer!

Thank you to anyone who is visiting during this period and I hope you enjoy reading all my other posts – there are 100s to choose from!
