Six for Sunday: Favourite characters from series

It has been ages since I managed to join in with #SixforSunday and my computer has given up the ghost (I. e. Died) so I can’t even make a graphic to accompany this post!

Still, imperfection is better than not posting at all, as much as the self-destructive perfectionist in my head freaks out at the thought. So, here I am, battling the insane autocorrect on my phone to bring you this post… Please forgive any odd spellings as I am attempting to type this while feeding my 11-week-old baby!

Six favourite characters from series – here they come in no particular order:

Irene from The Secret Library series – she is just so down-to-earth and kickass in many a perilous situation.

Cinder from the Lunar Chronicles – I love that she is an engineer and how loyal she is.

Reichis from the Spellslinger series – nobody said that all the characters had to be human, did they? I love Kell and Ferius too, but Reichis just has the edge with his foul-mouthed bravado.

Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series – like many geeky girls, Hermione is a character I admired and could relate to as she makes her way in the unfamiliar wizarding world through hard work and determination.

Alanna from The Song of the Lioness quartet – Alanna doesn’t let the fact that women aren’t allowed dissuade her from following her dream. These books had such a huge impact on me as a young reader!

Vasya from The Winter night Trilogy – once again, she is stubborn and a bit wild, clearly a trait I like in favourite characters.

Who are some of your favourite characters in series?

Do you have particular character traits you like or dislike?

Do we share any of the same favourite characters?

#SixforSunday is created by Steph from A Little But a Lot.

Yes to Irene and Hermione – Great list.

That must be so frustrating about your computer, but you’ve done a better job via the phone than I think I would!
